Hey Reader!
Have you noticed that your doubts are getting a little louder this month? "But are we covering what the kids are going to need?” "Maybe we should look into a little curriculum..." "Is this really enough?"
Those questions show up a lot in April.
Spring doesn’t look organized. Everyone wants to be outside more. Curriculum conversations are all over the place. Attention shifts quickly.
It can feel like nothing is adding up and you're being pulled in a million directions.
But if you look closer, the subjects are there - no extra effort on your part!
Reading, writing, vocabulary… Measuring, estimating, noticing patterns… Weather, plants, life cycles… Culture, holidays, community…
Most of it is already happening.
It just doesn’t look like school, so it’s easy to miss.
I put together a page showing what those subjects look like in real life during Spring.
I know. That doesn't sound very unschooly! But sometimes when you SEE how everything weaves together, all those fears simmer down.
P.S. There’s also a deeper Spring Guide on that page if you want more ideas to pull from. All of the seasonal guides are included inside the membership if you want them on hand. Sue Patterson, Unschooling Mom2Mom🌻 Maybe it's time to get some help from me! Creating Confidence Daily App & Community Options Unschooling Courses - Unschooling 101, Math, Transcripts Strewing Calendar - Free trial
