Before you scroll the internet looking for curriculum
|
We all have stressful seasons, Reader. Holidays. Graduation months. The obvious ones. But unschoolers? We have additional stressful seasons that nobody warns you about. And we're in one right now. Back to school season gets all the attention — but this March and April thing? It's sneaky. And it's bigger than most people realize. Everyone is planning for next year. Curriculum companies are marketing hard. And traditional homeschooling moms have practically been deputized as ambassadors — out on the internet absolutely certain that THIS is what you need. It is a stressful season. And that's exactly why you need someone in your corner. Someone to offset all those oh-so-helpful homeschoolers with their bundles and printouts. Someone who isn't trying to sell you anything except clarity about your own family. Because in the middle of all that noise... that panicky, not-enough feeling takes ahold of the wheel and starts driving. So people buy things. Curriculum they thought would work. Planners. Subscriptions. Resources that looked good in someone else's home. I know this because I did it too. Three kids. So many mistakes. Thinking — maybe THIS one will finally be the one that clicks. But really... You don't need more stuff. You need someone to help you see why you think you do — and whether it's even true. That's exactly what a conversation with me does. In 30 minutes we can look at what's actually happening in your home — your kid, your situation — and figure out what, if anything, you actually need going into next year. Not general unschooling advice. Your family. Specifically. I'm opening up time this month for exactly these conversations. But, just so you know — I'm closing my calendar in May for about six weeks. So if you've been thinking about talking with me... this is the month.
And if you're ready for more than one conversation — if you want someone in your corner for the next six months or the whole year — reply to this email and let's talk about mentoring. It's on that page at the button link too. I have a limited number of spots before my calendar closes. |
