Hi Reader! Today I turn 65. 🎉 And this year also marks 30 years since we began homeschooling back in 1996. Thirty years of learning differently. When we started, there wasn’t much of a roadmap. A lot of it was trial, error, trust, and community. Back then, I found that community at park days — other parents walking the same road, brainstorming and problem-solving together. I needed to be around parents who prioritized their relationship with their kids and keeping their curiosity and creativity alive. I wasn’t looking for others who were happy with the status quo. I needed to know other parents who wanted more than that. I know you do too. Park days are harder to find now. But the internet lets us connect beyond our local neighborhoods. That’s why the membership exists.
This year also marks 10 years of my Creating Confidence community — parents gathering, asking real questions, and supporting one another through the ups and downs. It gives us a place to find each other. Every year on my birthday, I lower the annual membership rate for one day. Today only, it’s $348 for the year — about $29 a month for private community and coaching.
