Let's tackle some questions together, [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]!

Hey Reader, One of the things I see missing in our unschooling community is… COMMUNITY! Sure, I’d love for you to join my Creating Confidence community at whatever level works for you. But I’m also thinking about something we had in the “olden days” of unschooling: park days and potlucks. While the kids played, you could listen in as another mom asked the question you’d been afraid to ask. Hear what someone else had tried. See what might fit your family—and what probably wouldn’t. It was clear that we were all a work in progress. After the pandemic, that shifted. It wasn’t so easy to pick someone’s brain while the kids played on the swings. But something good came from connecting online, too. Our community got bigger. We could learn from people beyond whoever happened to live in our little town. That’s a big reason I’ve kept Unschooling Mom2Mom going on social media and expanded Creating Confidence. I want parents coming along behind me to have people to learn from, share resources with, and turn to when the panic hits. So I’m bringing a little of that park-day conversation to your inbox. For the next two weeks, I’ll share some of the most common questions I hear, along with my thoughts and a podcast or video where we can talk about it more. If you want to dive deeper, I’ll include an option for that, too. Maybe you’ll recognize your own worry. Maybe someone else’s question will help you see something differently. You really aren’t alone. I just want you to know that. See you tomorrow! Sue Patterson, Unschooling Mom2Mom🌻 Tomorrow: “If all they do is play, how do I know they’re learning enough?” P.S. And if this season of unschooling has passed for you, it’s okay to unsubscribe below. No hard feelings! |
