My European trip reminded me...
|
Just back from my EU/UK trip, and I came home thinking about something simple, Reader: How often we try to figure things out on our own. Travel has a way of making that really obvious. Where do I go or is this the right line? It made me realize how often we don’t do that in everyday life. We assume we should already know, or we don’t want to bother anyone, so we carry more than we need to. There was also a moment in France I keep thinking about. A reader, Matilda, reached out when she realized we were only 30 minutes away. She had been reading along with Unschooling Mom2Mom for 10 years! We stayed for hours. Just talking around a table about kids, parenting, life — with people from completely different countries and experiences, and yet so much in common once we actually sat down together. (a little more at the blog here) And afterward I kept thinking: that only happened because Matilda was brave enough to reach out. If she hadn’t… it never would have existed. That’s what I keep noticing more and more. Life gets smaller when we wait too long to connect. And it gets easier when we stop trying to do everything alone. That’s really what I’ve tried to create with the Creating Confidence Community — a place where parents can talk things through, ask questions freely, and not carry everything by themselves. I’m meeting with the group in about an hour, and if you’ve been considering joining, you’re welcome to come in now. Even starting for only a month can make things feel lighter going into the next season. Here’s the link if you want to join us:
See you over there! 💞 Sue Patterson, Unschooling Mom2Mom🌻 P.S. If you miss today’s call, we’ll be back live again on Mondays and Wednesdays. And inside the Creating Confidence Community, there’s also daily support happening in the WhatsApp group and CC Daily app — so you’re never waiting for the “next call” to get connection or help.
