Now that it's APRIL!

Hey Reader

Are you hearing the commotion out on the internet?
Homeschoolers buzzing about next fall - what to buy, how to entice their kids to learn subjects?
It can sometimes press our buttons - the ones that haven't deschooled as much as we need to, right?

So! What to do:

1) Step away from those lists for now.
Give yourself a little space from the noise. It tends to stir up those internal critics—and you don’t need that right now.

2) Notice the shift in the season.
It’s spring for most of us here.
(And if you’re in the southern hemisphere, things are shifting for you too.)
There’s more happening around you than you might realize—more movement, more curiosity, more real-life learning.

3) Give yourself something to lean on.
Marketing is powerful. It can really fuel those doubts.

Spending time around other unschooling parents helps you see you're not alone.

Most of us don’t have a lot of local support—so my Creating Confidence community is there if you want that connection, or if you’d rather have something simple each day, the app gives you quick voicenotes to come back to. (Creating Confidence Daily App)

Either way, it can make a huge difference in your confidence.

4) Use Spring as your “lesson plan.”
Use my Spring Guide to spark ideas and help shift away from the school approach—to see the learning that’s already happening (or that all we have to do is walk out the door to find).

And if you’re almost unschooling, or still knee-deep in deschooling, it even breaks typical spring activities into subjects so you don’t have to.

Whether you’re using it for a progress report, to calm your spouse’s doubts (or your own)…
why not let spring do the heavy lifting?

P.S. I did put together a quick post with 10 reasons why spring makes this easier to see—if you want to read through it:
