School Rules Still Running Your Parenting, [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]?

Hey Reader, hope your week is off to a good start!

School started last week around here—maybe in your neighborhood too? And even though unschoolers usually live as if school doesn’t exist, it’s a little hard to ignore all the ads, the commotion, and the questions about why your kids aren’t going to the local school?!

Sometimes that slides right off our backs. But other times? It stirs up doubts we thought we were done with.

And I realized during our group coaching call yesterday—school has really messed with our heads.

It’s still shaping how we move through adult life and how we parent today.

That’s what I’m unpacking in this week’s podcast:
👉 School “Lessons” Fueling Your Parenting Doubts?

While school was busy pushing us through the curriculum, it was also teaching us something else—hidden lessons we carried into adulthood:

🙋🏻‍♀️ Wait for permission. Don’t move until someone else approves.
👀 Constantly compare. Wonder if we (or our kids) are measuring up.
🤦🏼‍♀️ Blame ourselves. If the lesson didn’t “stick,” it must be all our fault!

But you’re not broken. The system is.
And when we step away, our unschooled kids won’t have to carry these old lessons forward the way we have.

🎧 In this week’s Unschooling Mom2Mom podcast, I’ll show you how to spot these patterns, how they creep into parenting, and how unschooling can turn it all around.
