I thought timelines were mostly a school thing: reading ages, grade levels, and what kids are “supposed” to learn when.
But after unpacking this idea all month, I realized timelines are tangled up with nearly every fear that makes unschooling hard to trust. We look at what our child is doing today—and turn it into a frightening story about their future.
